Cremora Fridge Tart Recipe

A Cremora Tart has always been a favourite in my family. It's easy, relatively fast to make and it tastes delicious! This recipe has never failed me and it's always a crowd-pleaser! It serves about 6-8 people (depending on serving sizes).

Ingredients:

1 (200 g) packet tennis/digestive biscuits
100 g butter or 100 g margarine
1 (8 ounce) can condensed milk
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
2 cups Cremora, powder
1 cup cold water

Method:

1. Crumb the biscuits to make small crumbs. You can use the butter as is but it's usually better to melt it in the microwave or on the stove. Mix the butter and crumbs together and grab a tart dish made of glass or foil. Line the entire dish with the crumb and butter mixture. Place it in the fridge or even freezer as this will allow the lining to cool and will help tart set.

2. Mix the condensed milk and fresh lemon juice together in a bowl. I've found that it's best to let this stand for a few minutes as this allows the mixture to set better. The longer you leave it the better it will set.

3. Whisk the Cremora with cold water in a seperate bowl. Be sure to whisk it good as the cold water will be trickier and will make more clots. The cold water helps the tart set better than warm water does.

4. The condensed milk and lemon juice mixture should be 'set' by now. Fold the condensed milk mixture gently into the Cremora mixture until it's mixed really well.

5. Get the tart dish from the fridge or freezer and pour the mixture into the tart dish.

6. Put the tart into the fridge and allow to set for about 15-20 minutes. You can leave it longer if you are not satisfied that it set.

It may be a but runny the first time but that happens to best of us! Let me know if you find this recipe useful!

Hello Hello

Hello There!

Welcome to my blog! I love cooking and baking but it doesn't come naturally to me. Whenever I find a recipe that seems to be foolproof I make it my mission to share it with everyone I know! I thought it would be great to start a blog created specifically for these types of recipes, even if it's just a hobby or something to keep me occupied with. I hope someone out there finds something interesting on this blog and I'm looking forward to sharing some interesting things with you!
